Podriem definir els patrons de disseny com a artefactes cognitius externs que milloren la qualitat del disseny.
Definició del Concepte segons els autors
El concepte Patrons de Disseny (Design Patterns) apareix a l’article Distributed cognition in software design, an experimental investigation of the role of design patterns and collaboration de Mangalaraj, George 145 vegades. I així descriu la rellevància d’aquest concepte en el seu estudi:
“Design patterns as external representational media the problem unstructured because of incomplete information (i.e., structurally distributed cognition) have the space and/or lack of clarity in requirements. Providing potential to facilitate opportunistic designs, evoke access to task-related information can enhance the cognitive processes relevant to the task at hand, chances of transforming an ambiguous design and fill informational gaps to reduce the inherent problem into a well-structured one, and facilitate its ambiguity of design problems”
Deterding2011 a Gamification. using game-design elements in non-gaming contexts també parla de patrons de disseny per a la creació d’experiències gamificades:
“The recent introduction of ‘gamified’ applications to large audiences promises new additions to the existing rich and diverse research on the heuristics, design patterns and dynamics of games and the positive UX they provide.”
Aquest Concepte a la Tesi
A mesura que avançaven els cursos acadèmics i els grups de treball anaven canviant cada any, es va fer palesa la necessita de crear [[Patrons de Disseny]] en cadascuna de les parts del projecte per, segons el grup de treball, donar continuïtat a un treball realitzat, partir d’idees que han resultat satisfactòries o millorar una relació o un producte.
